I am tempted by a new book being published next month all about 'slow stitching'. I suspect it will be all about the pleasure of the doing and the contemplative nature of random stitches but I find the idea of buying it very appealing. Your piece looks so soft and must feel wonderful in the hand to stitch into. What marvellous calm it seems to generate.LAC EMP 2020https://www.blogger.com/profile/01999825212820503519noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8070917680632622858.post-90752264531304217312015-08-10T19:17:19.542+10:002015-08-10T19:17:19.542+10:00Thank you Mo - tenderly is just the right word fo...Thank you Mo - tenderly is just the right word for how I feel about this wee piece. I do the same - stitch while waiting during the urchins' various lessons after school.

I love the ethereal quality of your cloth and stitches. There's a sensibility of mending about some of the stitches that is very appealing. Of course, the cloth's loose weave and texture makes me yearn to hold it and run my fingers across the mended areas.
