Barry and I have been doing a fair bit of tidying up and sorting out around the place - a bit like a Spring clean I suppose. In doing so, we came across our range of peace flags from this year and last and thought to ourselves; why don't we just hang them altogether?
We chose out the back near the peace bell deck, where we already fly Jennifer's flags from last year.
In the end we strung the recycled baby-wipes flags, Barry's metal flags, my peace crane fabric flags and Barry's last year's rainbow umbrella flags.
I think they look great and make me smile whenever I see them!
Looking out from the house...
Closer up from down below…
From the side with the peace bell…
Closer up from the side with the peace bell and the breeze!
By the way, Barry has just posted on his prints for the Maleny Printmakers' exhibition - pop over and have a peek; I love so many of them!

how absolutely gorgeous - up on your mountain, you begin to resemble sites near the himalayas, prayer/peace flags fluttering, aging, sending out the most wonderful ripples.
ReplyDeletethe prints are beautiful fiona, and your workspace envy worthy! enjoy.
Thanks MJ - we love that we did this! We get a lot of joy out of gazing at them and feeling gentle ripples of peace…thanks for all the happy words re prints and work spaces too.
Deletethis is fabulous! I'm feeling all inspired now... (I think my fav are those large colourful ones at the bottom --- just delish!)
ReplyDeleteYou might even have time now Ronnie! The bottom ones are from an umbrella that broke - Barry cut it into the rainbow colours and we stitched it to some tapes. I love the look of them all together.
DeleteLove the flags blowing in the wind beside the solid calm bell - a lovely contrast ... and what a view and a work place. Envy, envy!
ReplyDeleteThanks Charlton - despite no rain for a while it still looks pretty green and tropical doesn't it? We are fortuntate in this place for sure, and I like that contrast between the steadfastness of the bell and the liveliness of the flags. Go well.
DeleteWonderful!! Lots of peace blowing in the wind... just in case the peace carrier is picky, there will be many forms of peace to choose from!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great thought Valerianna! I love to give the peace carriers plenty of options! They certainly make my day every time I glimpse them...
Deletethese are grand. i bet they fill your heart each time you see or hear them.
ReplyDeleteYou go it in one Velma - my heart is filled each time I glimpse them - I stop and stare and smile, and feel positive. Which is good. Go well.
DeleteWhat a wonderful idea to hang all the peace flags at one time... and your peace bell is absolutely stunning... I covet it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Donna - it was inspired wasn't it!?!? We bought the pace bell from Japan, it is one of the smallest sized temple bells you can buy and it is inscribed with the kanji symbol for peace hei - wa. We gong it at different times, on different days for different reasons , and it spreads peace vibrations across the valley...
DeleteOh my goodness, i can ever hear the sound of faint bells... this is just beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Louise - we're really happy and they do make me smile...
Delete~just seeing the combination of unique peace flags gently blowing in the breeze brings forth a smile...a soothing collection at hand...just beautiful...much love light and blessings~
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Brandi - it is good for the soul to gaze at them, my heart rate slows...
